ESL Learning: Homophone

ETO-spaghetti

A homophone is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in meaning.

For example “meet” and “meat”.

Meet: to come upon; to encounter
Meat: the edible flesh of animals

Can you tell us the difference between these homophones?
1- “ice-cream” versus “I scream”?
2-“euthanasia” versus. “Youth in Asia”
